What this site is

Bibles.id is an independent educational resource about Bible reading and Scripture study. Everything here exists to help you understand something well enough to make your own decision about it, or to ask a better question of someone qualified to answer it.

We are a small independent publisher. We are not a church, a denomination, a ministry, a clinic, a licensed practitioner, or a professional body, and we are not authorised to give you personalised advice of any kind.

The test we hold this site to

If every affiliate link were removed tomorrow, would this site still be worth visiting? If the answer were ever no, we would have built the wrong thing. The guides, the tools, the glossary and the answers are the product. The commercial layer sits on top of it and after it, never in front of it.

How we make money

Some links on this site are partner or affiliate links. If you use one we may be paid a referral fee at no cost to you. Some pages also carry clearly labelled sponsored placements. That funding never determines what we write or how anything is ordered — our sourcing policy explains how those decisions are made and our affiliate disclosure sets out the commercial relationships.

What we will never do

We will never invent a quotation, a statistic, a study, a source, a testimonial, or a credential. We will never promise you an outcome. We will never use countdown timers, false scarcity, or manufactured urgency — on subjects like these, those tactics are how people get hurt. And we will never pretend to a standing we do not have.

How we handle religious content

Religious material carries a higher standard of care than general writing, and we hold ourselves to it explicitly.

• We never invent Scripture, doctrine, a saying of a religious figure, a saint, a council, a denominational position, a piece of church history, or a citation. If we cannot source it, we do not publish it.
• Every teaching is attributed to the tradition that holds it. We do not write “Christianity teaches” for a position some Christians reject.
• We distinguish established teaching, official denominational teaching, historical fact, scholarly interpretation, traditional interpretation, and personal reflection — and we say which one a passage is.
• Scripture is quoted only from public-domain or appropriately licensed texts, and the translation is always named, because the wording differs and the difference sometimes matters.
• We are not clergy, we do not speak for any church, and we hold no teaching office. Nothing here is a substitute for your own community, minister, priest or teacher.
